Parking during Fallas in València
Explore our guide to parking during Fallas in Valencia. Discover essential tips, recommended parking areas, and strategies to navigate the bustling streets seamlessly during this vibrant festival
As we’ve suggested elsewhere on the website, we highly discourage driving within the city whenever possible due to street closures during Fallas and unpredictable disruptions caused by mascletàs, parades, and crowds.
In this section, we’ll provide recommendations for parking locations outside the city where you can switch to public transportation. Alternatively, if you must drive, we’ll suggest parking lots where you can park.
Free parking in València during Fallas
Our preferred choice is to utilize ‘dissuasive parkings’ situated on the city outskirts, enabling you to easily switch to public transportation without the inconvenience of navigating closed streets during Fallas.
Parking València Sud
Undoubtedly, this parking lot stands out as one of the finest options for parking while easily accessing the city center. Situated in a spacious area, it offers free parking alongside a convenient metro stop, València Sud, providing direct access to the heart of Valencia and the vibrant Fallas festival.
Milstata ‘macroparking’
The ‘macroparking’ of Mislata offers big free parking space in Mislata, a municipality adjacent to the city of València. Situated just five minutes away from the Mislata – Almassil metro station, it serves as one of the ideal locations to park your vehicle before immersing yourself in the Fallas festivities. Additionally, there is another smaller parking lot nearby, providing additional options for parking availability.
Parking La Canaleta
While Parking La Canaleta may not be expansive, it benefits from ample parking space in the vicinity and high traffic flow, increasing the likelihood of finding an available spot. Keep in mind that from this parking area, you will need to walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the nearest metro station.
Benimaclet parking areas
Benimaclet boasts a vibrant atmosphere and a rich Fallas tradition, making it a popular choice for visitors during the festival. Not only is it an ideal place to stay, as highlighted in our Fallas accommodation guide, but it also offers ample parking options for those attending Fallas de València. From here, you can conveniently hop on the metro at the neighborhood’s station and head to the city center —if desired—. Keep in mind that street closures may affect access to certain areas, so plan accordingly.
One notable parking area is the open lots at the end of Mistral Street. However, be mindful that these lots are unpaved, so it’s best to avoid them during heavy rainfall to prevent muddy conditions. Additionally, consider exploring parking options around the Machado and Alboraya-Palmaret metro stations for added convenience.
Parking in València center during Fallas
Parking for free in downtown València during Fallas can pose quite a challenge. It’s the area with the highest influx of people and the most streets closed to traffic, leading to a reduction in available parking spaces. Additionally, many areas are designated as either blue zones —pay-per-hour— or orange zones —resident-only, with a maximum parking time when paying—. It’s an option we strongly advise against.
If you need to be as close as possible to downtown València during Fallas, private parking lots are the most viable options to avoid any inconvenience. While there is a fee, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that your car will be well cared for and sheltered. Here are some options, all conveniently located in the heart of the city:
Parking Avenida del Oeste
Situated on Avenida del Oeste, this parking facility is very close to the Mercado Central de València, one of the city’s major attractions.
APK2 Lys
This parking lot is located near one of the city’s historic cinemas, just a stone’s throw away from the Plaza de Toros —Valencia’s Bullring—.
San Agustín Centro PARKIA
Accessible via a ramp on Calle Xàtiva, one of the main thoroughfares in the city center. From here, you can easily exit the city by car using its connections.
APK2 Colón 60
Found on Calle Colón, one of València’s primary shopping streets.
We recommend reserving your spot in advance, as demand is typically high during Fallas.
