Children’s ‘Despertà’

Infant march with firecrackers in the early morning. Hence the name 'despertà', which means wake-up call in valencian. It starts at the Church of Sant Joan del Hospital and ends in the Town Hall Square with a grand finale 'earthquake' —a large firecracker display—.

Macrodespertà

La 'despertà' is a route where people are awakened early by setting off firecrackers, hence the name, 'despertar' - to wake up. It begins shortly after the children's event and ends in the Town Hall Square with a large 'terratrèmol' or pyrotechnic earthquake, by Mediterráneo Pyrothecnics.

Contest of the ‘Cant de l’estoreta velleta’ 2025
