‘L’Albà de les Falles’ and fireworks shows

During the night when the fallas are set up, the ‘Plantà’, is known as the ‘Nit de l’Albà’ o ‘l’Albà de les Falles’. The translation from valencian is something close to ‘Night of Dawn’. During this night, around 12 o’clock, many Fallas committees launch their own fireworks displays. Additionally, there is a large main one in the Town Hall Square, by the pyrotechnicians Altana.
