This event, revived from its origins in 1961, brings the nostalgic tradition of the Fallas to life. In Plaça de l’Arbre, located in the El Carme neighborhood, different groups from various fallas commissions perform this historical custom. They carry furniture on an ‘estoreta velleta’ (old rug) and sing a traditional song, just as it was done in the past. These pieces of furniture, originally intended to be burned in the Fallas, now serve as a link to Valencia’s cultural heritage.
